Anthologie de 6 CD des pionniers britanniques du hard rock Bedlam, une des premières formations de Cozy Powell qui a pris fin lorsquil est parti en 1974 pour une carrière solo.Comprend également des mixes originaux et nouveaux de leur album très apprécié de 1973 pour le label Chrysalis sous forme denregistrements en direct et de sorties en studio.Sorti à lété 1973, le premier album éponyme de Bedlam est considéré par les admirateurs comme pierre angulaire du hard rock britannique du début des années 70, décrit par le guide du collectionneur Galactic Ramble comme trésor enfoui pour les fans de métal.Une incarnation ultérieure des rockers du tournant de la décennie des West Midlands Big Bertha (en fait The Ace Kefford Stand moins lex-Move man Ace), Bedlam comprenait les frères Dave et Denny Ball, lancien batteur de Jeff Beck Cozy Powell et le chanteur Frank Aiello, auparavant la moitié de duo de mods du milieu des années 60, The Truth.Malheureusement, le groupe sest effondré en 1974 lorsque Powell et Aiello ont choisi de signer avec Mickie La plupart après que Cozy ait marqué un single dans le Top 3 avec Dance With The Devil.Une édition du 50e anniversaire énormément augmentée de leur unique LP, The Bedlam Anthology est un six- CD célébration du groupe.Les quatre premiers CD contiennent le mix original de lalbum, un nouveau remix de 2023 préparé par Denny Ball des multi-pistes originales et une paire de concerts tonitruants de la fin de 1973 et du début 1974, ces derniers enregistrent à la fin de leur tournée américaine avec Black Sabbath.Disc Five est un set live de Big Bertha de 1970 enregistré lors dune brève tournée en Allemagne, tandis que Disc Six comprend une pile de démos et de singles de 1968-1970, retraçant le BallBallPowell triumvirat depuis ses débuts en tant que trio dinspiration Cream Ideal Milk jusquaux associations avec Ace Kefford et lancien leader de Tintern Abbey, David MacTavish.
